In 2007 Susan, with help from her husband Mervyn created Blackpaws Grooming, a dog grooming salon in Wangaratta and built it up to a successful business and sold it in 2010 to move to Shepparton.
In 2010 The Best Little Paw House was created and has been constantly growing and providing quality grooming for dogs in the Greater Shepparton area.
Customers come from Jerilderie to Seymour and Benalla to Bendigo to have their dog pampered in air conditioned comfort.

2019 ushered in a new era and a new salon, with a move to new premises at 3 Naomi St. Shepparton.
It was a huge job and the salon was only closed for three working days.
The new salon has a purpose built air conditioned dog drying room, huge warm water supply and a fresh new grooming room.
